Parity Rules The ICAA - November 12, 2014
HOLLY, Michigan – Embry Riddle (Fla.) and Oklahoma Baptist shared the awards as the 2014 All-ICAA Women’s Soccer honors were released Wednesday evening. The teams were selected by ICAA Coordinator Mike Bond.
The ICAA is composed of NCAA Division II schools that are not in a conference. Women’s soccer members are Cal State San Marcos, Chowan, Concordia-Irvine, Concordia-Portland, Embry Riddle (Fla.), Lincoln, Oakland City, Oklahoma Baptist, Palm Beach Atlantic, Southern Wesleyan and Spring Hill.
Coach of the Year went to Samantha Bohon. The Eagles went 15-1 and won the ICAA championship. Bohon is 110-44-5 in eight years at ER.
Player of the Year was mid-fielder Ailee Thompson of Oklahoma Baptist. She had 15 goals with four assists for 34 points in 18 games. She had four game-winning goals.
Freshman of the Year was Mikayla Lowery of Oklahoma Baptist. Lowery, a forward, had 10 goals with six assists for 26 points in 18 games with five game-winning goals.
